A Set of Papers that all deal with the play I Won't Dance by Oliver Hailey available individually or as a package -

A five minute scene from the play excerpted for two female characters -
LIL: But I do know how much everybody loved Paula (Beat.) I just don't know why.
Kay: My God&she was your sister.
Lil: Yes- and as a sister, I found her excessive. Perhaps as a friend she wasn't.
Kay: She was warm and open and responsive and generous- and loved a man who wasn't worth it. How much more can you expect of a woman?
Lil: Not more. Less. Less would have been more.
Kay: Oh, I've heard that one. They teach it in acting class. But I don't believe it in acting and I don't believe it in life. More is more (Kay holds up her hands to indicate "more") and less is shit! (She makes a downward motion with one hand to show what she thinks of" less.") Excuse my language but I loved her. (Beat.) Only I'd appreciate it if you don't mention it to Dom.

I was friends with Dom's sister in law, Paula, but did not really care for his brother. I also try to find friendship in Paula's sister Lil whom this scene is set with. I am in my upper twenties and I live in 1980's Los Angeles. I wear short skirts and upper class hooker type clothes that were also popular in style during the later eighties. I do not have too much self-confidence and self worth and I try to find that in others. I claim not to have any talent other than hooking but work at an insurance office to make extra money."
